I love to see community activists starting their own blogs. Joe Shaw did it to fight Huntington Beach’s City Council: Greetings From Huntington Beach. And now a group of people that are trying to stop development in the 510-acre West Coyote Hills in Fullerton started their own blog: SaveCoyoteHills.blogspot.com
The group claims that the proposed development of a 760-unit housing project on the Chevron-owned land will wipe out some rare species of birds and plant life, and will destroy some of the remaining open space in a “highly-urbanized area of North Orange County.â€Â
The group will be rallying this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on Harbor Blvd. and Chapman Ave. in the city of Fullerton. For more info, see their site.
