If you’ve been to a beach in Long Beach in the last ten years, you know how ugly the offshore oil rigs can be. Well, congress recently debated whether or not we should lift the 25-year ban on these rigs and star installing oil rigs all up and down the Pacific and Atlantic coasts. Here’s how your representatives voted, OC:
John Campbell: No
Loretta Sanchez: No
Dana Rohrabacher: Yes
Ken Calvert: Yes
Ed Royce: Yes
Gary Miller: Yes
The ban was ultimately lifted with a 232-187 vote. It’s easy for a congressperson from a land-locked state to approve this legislation. But how in the hell can Huntington Beach Congressperson and Jack Abramhoff’s buddy, Dana Rohrabacher approve of this? This is just another reason to vote for Jim Brandt.
Americans want (and need) innovative, clean energy solutions. I’m perplexed at the approval of the U.S. House bill H.R. 4761. Instead of spending their time discussing how we can make cars go further on a gallon of gas, or how we can harness the power of the wind and the sun, the congress wants to drill for oil as close as 3 miles to shore!

Roarbacher can go to hell. He’s a dumbass.
Amazing, isn’t it? We should collectively force these assholes to visit the Gulf of Mexico. It’s disgusting.
