Sad that the city would just cast aside the will of the voters to allow tax payer dollars to be used to bail out Mike Harrah.
At yesterday’s Orange County budget hearings 2nd District Supervisor John Moorlach just couldn’t seem to get away from his blaming of public employee pensions, particularly the 3% at 50 pension benefit for public safety members, for the budget woes of the county. While this is the same old tune from Mr. Chicken Little, the fact that he has no problem making facts up as he goes along trying to demonstrate his point is the very definition of hubris.
Assemblyman Solorio touts Assembly Budget proposal for its emphasis on jobs and protecting school funding. “The only way to get our economy to truly recover is to immediately address the jobs issue,” said Assemblyman Solorio. “The California Jobs Budget protects and creates jobs, while repaying our obligations to schools and local governments.”
“CEO staff briefed Mr. Nelson and a member of his staff on the budget late last week and offered to be available for any follow-up questions they might have,” County Spokesman Howard Sutter said. “He has also been provided with the same budget books and summaries as received by the offices of the four current Board members.”
For a small “g” government Republican Van Tran sure puts an interesting spin on things. He tries to paint Congresswoman Sanchez as an ineffective member of Congress while ignoring his own dismal record of doing absolutely nothing for his Assembly district. Even on his own campaign website Van Tran cannot point to one single accomplishment that he can be credited with for his time in the Assembly.

The program will feature Michael Bussee, a co-founder of Exodus International and now outspoken critic of the organization. In addition to highlighting the damage that ex-gay therapy can do, there will be speakers which present viewpoints of homosexuality from faith, family, and scientific perspectives.
