The group of community activists continues to fight to force the City of Santa Ana to bring a special election, this after city officials changed the requirements with regard to the building of the One Broadway Plaza project, a 37-story office tower in the city.

Saying he is the responsible choice to represent the 69th Assembly District, the State Coalition of Probation Organizations (SCOPO) today announced its backing of Julio Perez for Assembly. The Orange County chapter of SCOPO represents more than 700 sworn peace officers throughout the county that work in local courthouses and jails.
