Yesterday, Anaheim officials brazenly jumped over the line in order to conceal disclosable public records and refused to comply with a request from Voice of OC for email records. They did so by demanding $19,000 to provide 60-day old email records.

Former Newport-Mesa Schools Superintendent Jeffrey Hubbard, who was fired after being convicted of misappropriation of public funds while Superintendent of the Beverly Hills School District, learned his fate earlier this week. 60 days in jail, followed by three years probation, fines and restitution.

Earlier this month I wrote about Orange Unified School District Trustee John Ortega being placed on Administrative Leave from his job as Chief of the Mt. San Jacinto College Police in December for an undisclosed reason. On Feb. 9th his contract was not renewed by the college.
