The Case Del Sol Republican Club invites a Pardoned Jan 6er to speak this weekend:

Debra Friedman, Chair of the Casta Del Sol Homeowners’ Association group RESIDENTS AGAINST INSURRECTION NORMALIZATION (RAIN) announced that RAIN will be holding a protest on Sunday, July 20th from 2:30pm until 5:30pm at Recreation Center #1, located at 27669 Casta Del Sol, Mission Viejo. RAIN will be protesting the Speech by convicted insurrectionist Jeffrey Scott Brown and the Fundraiser on his behalf sponsored by the Casta Del Sol Republican Club being held at the Recreation Center on that date.
Friedman stated, “As patriotic Americans, we want the public to know we strongly condemn the decision to give Brown a public platform. We also want the public to know that most of the residents of Casta Del Sol do not condone Jeffrey Scott’s Brown’s criminality. The jury, the trial judge and the Appellate Court all found that Jeffrey Scott Brown personally, physically and at close range sprayed pepper spray at police officers who were guarding
the Capitol against rioting insurrectionists. The pardon does not erase those facts.
RESIDENTS AGAINST INSURRECTION NORMALIZATION are horrified at the attempt to honor a convicted felon who assaulted police officers. We are further horrified at the attempt to honor an insurrectionist who was trying to halt the Congressional certification of the 2020 Presidential Election. The public needs to know, his appearance at Casta Del Sol does not reflect the attitudes and beliefs of our community.”

Free speech is more important than people being offended by a guest speaker who they vehemently disagree with and are free not to attend the private meeting. This is all about protecting free speech which all other rights balance on. Keep in mind this quote. “ I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” it is the polar opposite of controlling judgments expressed with emotions, as if your emotional opinions are persuasive against free speech for all. I personally value the laws that protect us all.
Lori G has a long history of conflict within the community, including unsuccessful lawsuits against the association. She often opposes initiatives that benefit the neighborhood and consistently aligns herself with her partner, Jeffrey Scott Brown. Unfortunately, her behavior continues to create division rather than unity.
