ICYMI: DPOC Chair Florice Hoffman Issues Statement Regarding ICE Terrorizing our communities, U.S Military Deployment into Southern California
“The Democratic Party of Orange County strongly condemns the actions of President Donald Trump and ICE, whose tactics of intimidation and violence have terrorized communities. The arrest and targeting of immigrants without provocation – right here in Orange County – often in front of their families, represents a cruel and calculated assault on our values.
The recent mobilization and deployment of the National Guard and U.S Marines into Southern California neighborhoods are deliberate escalations designed to sow fear and provoke unrest.
We stand with immigrant communities, the labor movement, and hard working families across Orange County. We support non-violent demonstrations and those who exercise their right to peacefully protest.
We denounce ICE raids at workplaces, schools, and other sensitive locations. These raids not only traumatize children and families – they threaten the safety, trust, and well-being of communities.
The Democratic Party of Orange County calls for the immediate end to ICE Raids and the de-mobilization of all U.S Military personnel deployed throughout Southern California. We stand in solidarity with all those seeking dignity, safety, and the right to live and work in peace. “
