Min was told “wait your turn” for State Senate Run

Got this email pitch for the Dave Min for State Senate campaign.  He was told, by a DPOC official, to “wait his turn” and not run for state senate.  That’s bull.  The fact is Min is an outstanding candidate who has already garnered a number of significant endorsements.  And for a party that prides itself on promoting people of color, that wasn’t in the Min warning not to run.  And it’s still bull.

Bet you can guess who told him not to run.

I know.

From the email:

If I’m elected to California’s 37th Senate District, I’d be the first and only Asian-American or Pacific Islander (AAPI) Democrat elected to represent Orange County in the state legislature.

Even though Democrat and No Party Preference voters significantly outnumber Republicans in the Asian community, the vast majority of AAPI elected representatives are Republican.

The unfortunate truth is this: The Republican Party has done a better job identifying and supporting AAPI candidates, and there’s been no similar effort by Democrats. It’s something I can attest to from personal experience. Despite decades of policy experience, countless endorsements, and strong polling, I’ve been told by more than a few in my party that I need to “wait my turn.”

I’m not pointing fingers. Nor am I placing any blame at the feet of my own party, but I know we can do better as Democrats. That’s why I’m excited to see that groups like Asian Americans Rising are emerging to empower AAPI progressives to get out there and run for something.

I’ll be the first to tell you that qualifications are paramount when it comes to public service, but making sure Asian-American progressives have a seat at the table in Orange County is a big reason why I’m running. I do hope that’s a mission all Democrats in this community can get behind.

If you’re with me, chip in a donation to support my campaign. Promoting inclusivity is not something any one person or group can do alone. By definition, it’ll take all of us coming together to get this done.

Thanks for hearing me out,

Dave Min

Stop trying to dry hump me, Disgusting Donald Trump! Your tiny little toadstool is of no interest to ANY women, not even the Russian prostitutes you pay to piss on you! I guess that explains why a 72-year-old geezer has yellowish “hair”! (Or should I say yellowish toupee? Weave? Hair plugs? All three?)

Honestly I like Dave but would be a lot happier if he took the slot for Board of Supervisors where he would go unchallenged and very likely win!

I disagree; Irvine is the biggest piece of the pie in this senate district and with a large Korean voting base, Dave will be very strong
