The suspicious part of me thinks that number is more reflective of Tran’s estimate of the number of late absentee ballots his campaign (allegedly) helped illegally dump at polling places across the district. There is (allegedly) a long history of Tran’s team gathering ballots from voters, and delivering them for them to the polls. This is of course illegal, but that hasn’t stopped this funny business over the years Tran has held office.

I would like to take this time to congratulate Mayor Miguel Pulido on his outstanding victory. Despite being exposed as a politician ripping off taxpayers, selling your vote to the highest bidder, taking every taxpayer funded perk on the planet and running a huge pay to play scheme by funneling money through a Democratic Party PAC, voters still gave you a mandate to rule the city. As a Santa Ana voter and taxpayer I have some recommendations for your 9th term as Mayor.
