Rep. Correa Demands Hearings on White Supremacy Terrorism

Congressman Lou Correa, Congresswoman Nanette Diaz Barragán pose with volunteer lawyers at LAX on Jan. 29, 2017 to assist detainees as a result of President Trump’s immigration ban.

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Correa will call on the House Homeland Security Committee to hold hearings to investigate white supremacy domestic terrorism in America.

Rep. Correa stated, “Yesterday’s horrific acts against innocent Americans were clear acts of terrorism. Our country has a homegrown terrorism problem we refuse to address. That ends now. We must hold hearings and finally address that terrorism inflicted by white supremacy extremists is destroying our country.”

I agree. Congress should investigate white supremacy extremist, their plans and origins. We must get to the bottom of this horrific aberration. Racism, in any form, is patently absurd and detestable. Political violence should be condemned and harshly punished. Terrorism is evil.

Yes terrorism is evil – investigate Black Lives Matter cop killers & MS-13 & take another look at radical Islamists as well.

I attended some of the first committee hearings on home grown threats during my time in the US Senate. We should specifically investigate the threat of far-right terrorism. The road to radicalization is likely particular to that group. While I can not say for sure, I do not think this thinking manifested out of thin air. The origins of this movement must be forensically investigated by Congress. I suspect there is a source, a source of hate that must be revealed, destroyed and discredited.

Let’s not forget to investigate the radical activities of George Soros as well. This man has done more to damage representative governments not only in the U.S., but around the world. This man was in fact a NAZI collaborator during world war 2 in his native Hungary. Ironically, he was a confidant and inspiration to both Hillary and Obama. He also donates large sums of money to the Democratic party.

You need to get your facts from someplace other than right-wing hate sites.

George Soros was born in 1930, he was nine years old when WWII started.
          Snopes has debunked this BS:

“Soros would never have met the SS requirement for pure “Aryan” heritage. Quite to the contrary, Soros grew to adolescence as a persecuted Jew in Nazi-occupied Budapest.”

          • Bob M Bob M August 19, 2017

Soros admitted to have collaborated with the Nazis. He turned against his fellow Jews to gain favors with the occupying forces at the time. Yes he was very young at the time but he knew what he was doing. the left left wing propaganda machine has always protected Soros because of his great value to the left wing agenda, but I wouldn’t expect you to know that.

            • anon anon August 20, 2017

No, George Soros did not ‘admit to collaborating with the Nazis, that’s just made up BS from a strategically edited interview.

Of course, Fox ‘News’ and am hate radio knows that gullible right-wing nuts like yourself will swallow that garbage whole and never fact-check the lies that they’re spreading.

In your case, mission accomplished, another brain-washed true believer in right-wing propaganda.

Well I guess that’s still several years advanced compared to your writing.

These racist groups have been around since the founding of the Democratic party. It is common knowledge that the dems are the proliferators of hate an racism in America ever since they formed the KKK. HIllary praised the work of former senator Robert BIrd who himself was a Grand Dragon of the KKK and a staunch Democrat. Is there really any doubt who the hate mongers are in this country?

        • Dan Chmielewski Dan Chmielewski Post author | August 18, 2017

Bird has long repudiated his membership in the KKK and asked forgiveness; yes, the KKK and the Democratic Party have a history together. Recent history shows it’s Republicans who revel in racism

          • Bob M. Bob M. August 18, 2017

Can you name any Republican who is or has been a member of the KKK? The Dems have also been associated with the belief in eugenics, another form of white supremacy. Woodrow Wilson was a great proponent of this. Hillary Clinton was an admirer of Margret Sanger, an early proponent of eugenics. I’m sorry Dan, most of the evidence of hate and racial supremacy today still point to the Dems. If Robert Bird was a Republican, would you still accept his repudiation of the KKK? I somehow doubt it.

        • anon anon August 19, 2017

Again, you’ve proved you know nothing Bob M.

Robert Bird was never a “Grand Dragon” he was an “Exalted Cyclops” (the head of a local chapter) and he acknowledged the stain that the KKK had left on his life:

“I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times . . . and I don’t mind apologizing over and over again. I can’t erase what happened.”

          • Bob m Bob m August 19, 2017

anon, you seem to know a lot more about the KKK than I do. How long have you been a member?

            • anon anon August 20, 2017

Rather than admit to being wrong and educating yourself, of course, you’d choose to attack me for being informed.

That’s how evil propagandists work, spread lies and demonize the truth tellers.

              Good work, you’re a regular little neo-fascist.

“Birth control … means the release and cultivation of the better racial elements in our society, and the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extirpation of defective stocks— those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.”
